meditation workshop ~ an introduction to awareness

sunday 29th march | 16:00-18:00 | £30

this workshop is designed for anyone curious about meditation ~ whether you're completely new, unsure where to begin, or looking to reconnect with and deepen an existing practice.
in a supportive and welcoming space, we'll explore what meditation truly is, gently dispelling the common myth that meditation is about stopping or controlling your thoughts. instead, we'll turn toward what lies at the heart of meditation ~ awareness.
throughout the workshop, you'll be guided through a variety of meditation techniques, including breath awareness, mantra meditation, guided meditation, and tratak ~ candle-gazing. each style will be practiced in an accessible way, allowing you to experience how different techniques feel and which may resonate most with you. after each practice, there will be time for reflection, and questions, helping you build confidence and clarity as you begin or continue your journey.
this workshop is not about achieving a perfectly quiet mind or 'getting meditation right.'  it is about learning how to sit with yourself with kindness and curiosity.
you'll gain practical tools to support calm, focus, emotional balance, and a deeper sense of inner steadiness ~ tools you can carry into your daily life, even during busy or challenging moments.
you'll leave with a clearer understanding of how meditation works, how to create a practice that feels natural and sustainable, and how to weave moments of awareness into your everyday routine.
whether your goal is to reduce stress, improve concentration, support your yoga practice, or simply carve out space for yourself, this workshop offers a grounded and approachable starting point.
take the first step on your meditation journey. now is the time to cultivate awareness and bring greater harmony to your heart, mind + soul.
what you will need ~ comfortable clothing with layers. you may wish to bring a bottle of water. tea will be provided post workshop.
