letting go is one of the hardest yet most rewarding and compassionate acts of self-love.  letting go liberates us from past traumas and also from worry of the future. mindfulness cultivates and encourages letting go in its practices.  by learning and practicing letting go we can develop inner stability and become more anchored in the present moment.
